Country-Specific Search Engines are very popular these days as they typically index only those web sites which have country-specific domain extensions (ccTLDs). For example, a UK specific search engine may index only those sites having ccTLD domains specific to the UK (e.g. .co.uk, .org.uk, .net.uk etc.) and display only such sites in the results.
